Biography of Television Actress Hina Khan (Akshara)
Born to a muslim family in Srinagar, J&K moved to Delhi to do her management studies. As she belongs to muslim family and also not from any cosmopolitan city and also did not had any filmy background she had to struggle a lot to get to the acting world.
She was always an average student and more interested in painting and singing than her studies but had burning desire to become an actress. On the lighter side Amitabh Bachan and Kajol are Hina Khan’s all time favourite bollywood stars.
Career as actress:
Her role in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai‘ is her first appearance on small screen. This serial has become very popular in a very short span of time. Currently she is also working on film ‘Mere Saajan’ which will release later this year.
In ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehla ta hai’ Hina Khan is playing the character Akshara’s role. Akshar’s character is of very calm and composed girl who is loved and adored by every member of the family
Star Plus brings you The Perfect Bride
As it is said that “Marriages are made in heaven…’, thus Star Plus and Meditech bring a unique reality show called “The Perfect Bride’ which will see the five eligible bachelors looking out for a perfect match with their mummies. The show starts on 12 September.The concept of the show is adapted from the abroad based show called by the same name. The similar show has worked well in Turkey and Italy. The concept of the show is about a mother son pair looking out for a perfect girl. 5 pairs of Mother Son will begin the show with 10 prospective brides to be. To add more glamour Amrita Rao has been taken in as the panel of mentors with Malaika Arora Khan and Shekhar Suman in the show.
The shows also have an audience voting and eviction of want to be brides and grooms. At the end of the show that one pair will choose from the remaining bride on the show and if the girl agrees the wedding will take place on the channel it self.
Though the channel and the production house doesn’t give the guarantee of marriage on television but for sure there will be a more drama and kit pit of saas bahu on the show.
So get ready to watch another Swayamvar on Indian television from 12 September at 10:00 pm

Sony's upcoming show Bhaskar Bharti will have Eijaz Khan in a typical play boy role.. Also seen in the show are Aamir Ali, Ragini Khanna and Aanchal..
The interesting promos of Sony Entertainment Television's upcoming show Bhaskar Bharti, produced by DJ's Creations have raised curiosity levels of audience as well as media.
According to our source, "Bhaskar Bharti is a show which will have a message to convey to the audience. The story is about a playboy, Bhaskar who has ditched umpteen number of girls and has taken all their curses. The young lad ultimately gets punished by God who turns him into a girl one fine day".As reported earlier by Telly Buzz, Ragini Khanna who was last seen in Radha Ki Betiyaan Kuchh Kar Dikhayengi will be seen playing an important role in the show.
"The character of the playboy will be played by Eijaz Khan who makes a comeback to television after a long time. Ragini will essay the role of Bhaskar's girl version, while the relatively new face Aanchal, who played the role of Sanskriti in Star Plus' Santaan will go on to be the love interest of Bhaskar", adds our source.
If sources are to believed, Aamir Ali will play Bhaskar's close friend who tries his best to relieve his friend from this punishment of God.
"The show will launch on May 25th, and if all goes well, will take up a prime time slot between 9 PM and 10 PM", concludes our source.
We tried calling Producer Deeya Singh, but she was unavailable for comments.

When we spoke to Hina about her match making efforts she smiled and said, “I had seen the love they had for each other, but they just could not express it. Hence I would speak to both of them separately and try to get out their real feelings. Next I started helping them pass on messages. And last but not least when I saw that both were really interested in each other, I convinced Sanjeev to propose telling him that Laata surely will accept, which he did. I am so happy for both of them as I regard them as my real parents. This seems to be the best thing I have done in real life.”she gushes.

The story revolves around Akshara a shy, demure, obedient daughter who has been brought up like a princess in a traditional Marwari family. She has a very protective upbringing and has only experienced relationships that emanate love and protection. She is yet to discover a life beyond her over-protective mother or her disciplinarian father or her witty and loving grandmother.
Soon comes the desired moment of marriage for Akshara and she experiences emotions beyond those that she is familiar with. Marriage catapults her into a plethora of new relationships, new emotions and a whole new environment. But most importantly, she discovers a unique relationship called LOVE, which eventually helps her stride through all trials and tribulations. Dr Shashank Gupta
He is the head of Sanjivanii hospital and has spent his entire career as a doctor for this hospital and its patients. He is considered a 'God' in the world of surgery and all interns wait for an opportunity to assist him in the operation theater. Dr Shanshank is an idol not only for interns but also other resident doctors of Sanjivani. Dr Shashank's two daughters Riddhima and Anjali are world to him and all he wants is to see his daughters become competent doctors. Both Riddhima and Anjali come to Sanjivani to do their internship but get no special treatment for being the daughters of the head of the hospital.
Dr Riddhima Gupta
Riddhima is a 21 year old, warm hearted, kind and good-natured girl. This single most important thing in her life along with being a good human being is her dream to make her father, Shashank Gupta proud off her achievements in the medical arena. She is intelligent and modern in her outlook to life, and yet respects and represents all the core Indian values. Quick to forgive and forget, at the same time she will not take blatant injustice lying down. Riddhima's weak spot is Anjali, as she allows Anjali to always get the better from her, but that again is not a sign of her weakness. She does so simply because her nature is amenable to everything. Yet, there is one person, an intern like her in Sanjeevani, who manages to get a rise out of the generally very easy going Riddhima. How much ever Riddhima tries to ignore Armnaan, she unexplainably cannot.
Dr Armaan Malik
22 year old Armaan represents the new age man; one who is self confident, efficient, cheeky and occasionally even smug. He is also extremely handsome and gives the impression of being a skirt chaser. He enjoys female company and makes no bones about the fact that he has a weakening knee effect on women. He is used to being the centre of female attention and also knows how to sustain that attention when he does receive it. Armaan comes from an affluent family and has never wanted for anything materialistic ever in his life. But beneath the suave and confident exterior lies a focussed doctor, whose sole aim is to outgrow the stigma of being the son of an alcoholic anesthesiologist.
Dr Anjali Gupta
Anjali at 22, is Shashank's older daughter and is basically one who is used to having her way. Extremly beautiful, she is quiet conscious of her looks and not above using them .She is manipulative and conniving. In addition she is also academically intelligent, making her a god doctor in her own right, though she is never a favourite amongst the patience, owing to her to-the-point attitude. Her ultimate aim is to be the head of the organisation Sanjeevani, as it means that she will have power, respectability. And it will declare her as the fitting heir apparent to Shashank's legacy. She will employ all the methods of saam, daam, dand and bhed to get whatever she sets her eyes on. Anjali's manipulative ways are most obvious in the way she handles her sister Riddhima.
Dr Atul Joshi
A lovable character, Atul is the best guy friend a girl can ever have, without ever making him a real boy friend. He is a good natured, easy going boy, who has become a doctor to fulfill the wish of his dead father, who is part of Sanjeevani alumni. His father worshiped Sanjeevani and Shashank Gupta and he has come to the place of his father's worship to pay his tribute t the man who adopted him. He is always treated like one of the girls when girlie talks are being discussed. When he realizes certain people cannot be changed, he takes mater into his own hands and empties trash, puts cups in trash and carries his own porcelain cup so that the use of Styrofoam cups in Sanjeevani can be reduced.
Dr Sapna Shah
She is a simple girl from a simple, yet reasonably rich Gujrati household. She is the youngest of three daughters and her father always encouraged her to do what she wanted. Having seen her older sisters married off and straddled with bawling children early in their life, she escaped in the direction of a possible career, with the intention that it would be a legitimate excuse for the family to delay her marriage. Her mother is possessive and she is always trying to make excuses for her mothers over domineering and loving over indulgence. She gets a dabba full of Gujrathi food, large enough to feed all the interns. And she has to very often leave work early, or keep Friday evenings free to meet a potential match.
Dr.Muskaan Chedda
Muskaan Chadda is a young Intern of Sanjeevani from Amritsar (Punjab). Being a thorough Punjabi at soul but modern at heart, Muskaan's attire very well defines her attitude towards life. Played by Drushti Dhumi

He is a smart,good-looking and cool dude like Armaan and is a new intern from Sanjeevani Amritsar.He was in Armaan's college and was a complete champu.Everyone in the college would have-the-time laugh at him and all the girls would roam around with Armaan,which he hated.He liked one girl-'Sonia'in his college who in turn liked Armaan.He is now in Sanjeevani and is out to trouble Armaan.Played by Mayank Anand
