Don’t know how to tie a scarf?

Do you love the look of scarves, but aren’t quite sure how to wear or tie one?

Texere Silk has a great online guide with dozens of ways to tie a scarf. Try out the classic shoulder wrap for an added touch of style around your arms. Want to sport a Diana Vreeland-inspired turban? How about adding a feminine twist to the masculine tie?

And of course, you need a new scarf to show off your scarf-tying skills, right? How about the Pucci “Diamante” silk scarf:

Those big box stores are calling your name with cheap deals on hip clothes and accessories, home goodies that you just can't live without, beckoning you to become part of the latest fashion trends of the moment...it can be hard for the indie design world to keep up! But, they do keep up- it's just sometimes a little more difficult to find the hip handmade goods that rival the big box stores' goods in style, but far surpass them in quality, creativity and uniqueness! So, I'm here to help, taking a cue from the now defunct pakiz-fun.blogspot.com and Renee's awesome "if you like...., than you'll love...." posts around Christmas time, and helping you find hip handmade alternatives to the big box store stuff that you so covet- hopefully you'll see, it's easier than you think to shop consciously and stay stylish at the same time! :)

First up for the hip handmade comparison, I bring you the fashion accessory that I see popping up everywhere in catalogs, tv shows and on the streets: summery scarves!

Well, there you have it! What do you think of the hip handmade options- are these fair comparisons? Do you prefer the big box choices, or the handmade ones? And did you notice all the handmade items are less expensive than the big box ones? Pretty sneaky, eh?

If you'd like to see this kind of post continue as a regular feature, please let me know! Also, if you have item/item types you'd like to suggest for a future "hip handmade" comparison post, leave a comment or feel free to email me! Thanks much!

Menz Hair style

perfect example of incredible scene hair and style comes from a few of the members of the band My American Heart who not only rock the stage but their fashion as well with attire and hairstyles. The guys show some techniques for producing scene hairstyles including the choppy edges, the swept bangs, and the spiky, wild sides. The next scene hairstyle picture is a produced by Yellow Strawberry Salon and highlights similar hairstyling sections like choppy areas and messy crown. All these are common for guys scene hair.https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVkAAFi4V-nyfrGHb2hb_-gdMfToej57_w7qORjQRAMW9xtNffulbLBkyjobRl7xMoWGQP0HcQRNsGZlP5flzbNMLX_0FEFbijKVW-OFFPwtdCfN1rgdNXp2vANFGXF0RJlfFbqldsgO4/s400/Men+stylish+hairstyle+with+layers+in+redish+brown.jpg

Trendy Long Shaggy Hairstyle for MenThis is a cool versatile hairstyles for men who prefer messy longer hair. Long layers were cut though the length, using a shear point or razor technique to create the shaggy look. To style it, apply a dab of light wax or mousse with fingers.

Styling Tips for long hair:

Step 1. Blow-dry your hair with your head upside down to achieve maximum volume on the roots. Don't use any product, you just want to get the dampness out.

Step 2. When your hair is almost dry, add a good amount of wax all the way through the roots to the ends. Keep your head upside down when applying it. This will encourage volume at the root were you want it, and it will allow you to separate pieces of hair where desired.

Step 3. Put your head right side up and blow dry with your hands. Using your fingers as a big pick will give your hair the tossled look you want.

Step 4. After you have achieved the desired texture and deliberate disheveled look, add a dime of pomade for shine and light definiti
